The New Permission System

The new permission system has become even simpler and more intuitive. The names of permission types have also been changed to role-based and the locations, such as Workspace, Project and SiteView, have been added to the front of the names, making it easier for the users to intuitively understand what level of permission they have in which location. As part of this update, we will automatically transfer the current permission settings to the new roles, as per our new permission structure. (See here for more information)

  • Team Admin: An administrator for the entire team. Admin can create and delete Workspaces, and add administrators or members to the Team, Workspace, and Projects. In addition, Admin has access to all the functionalities that Workspace Admins can use. The Super Admin or other Admins can designate an Admin in the Team Settings.
  • Workspace Admin: An administrator for a Workspace. Workspace Admin can create and delete Projects, and add administrators or members to the Workspace, and Projects underneath. In addition, Workspace Admin has access to all the functionalities that Project Admins can use. Admins or other Workspace Admins can designate a Workspace Admin in the Workspace.

  • Project Admin: An administrator for a Project. Project Admin can create and delete SiteViews, and add administrators or members to the Project, and SiteViews underneath. In addition, Project Admin has access to all the functionalities that Project Members can use. Workspace Admins or other Project Admins can designate a Project Admin in the Project Admin Center. Please see the screenshot of the new Member tab in the Project Admin Center Above.
  • Project Member: A member of a Project who has access to additional functionalities within the Project, including SiteInsights, Deviation Check, and capturing using the CupixCaptureApp. Project Member does not have administrative permissions to add other members to the Project or SiteViews underneath. However, Project Member has access to all the functionalities that SiteView Members can use. Please refer to the screenshot of the new Member tab in the Project Admin Center above.
  • SiteView Member: A member of a SiteView who has access to all the functionalities within the SiteView they are invited to. However, since this is not an administrative permission type, SiteView members cannot add other members to any SiteViews. SiteView members have access only to the SiteViews they are invited to. For more information, please refer to the screenshot of the new Member tab in the Project Admin Center above.

SiteView Designer

It is now possible to predefine the data to be displayed in SiteView and save pre-designed layouts as templates. Project Admins can customize SiteView to meet the diverse needs of different stakeholders.

Furthermore, the concepts of Grid Layout and Freeform Layout have been introduced. The Grid Layout enables the storage of multiple templates to fulfill various needs, while the Freeform Layout allows viewers to be undocked and displayed on separate screens, enabling a more extensive view.

The New SiteView UI

In order to provide a more spacious viewing area for important information such as panoramic images and BIM, less critical elements such as the SiteView name and team logo have been removed from the current SiteView user interface. Additionally, frequently used function icons have been relocated to the left sidebar for enhanced visibility.

  • SiteView Menu: The SiteView menu contains the Project name and allows users to copy the SiteView link.
  • Templates: Templates are predesigned SiteView layouts customized using the new SiteView Designer.
  • Annotations: This opens the annotation tab. It can be hidden from the SiteView Designer.
  • Captures: Capture availability based on levels, rooms and dates.
  • Zoom Fit: Restore the zoom level to its default setting.
  • Measures: Measuring dimensions and more, such as Radius, Path, Angle and Area.

The Best Way to Track Your Construction Project Progress: SiteInsights 2.0

It's been over a year since we first launched SiteInsights beta program. We've seen SiteInsights grow rapidly and have been working hard to expand its capabilities. Today, we're pleased to announce the major update of SiteInsights 2.0! With this latest update, we're getting closer to the end of the beta. You can now get quick, actionable insights with our newly updated progress dashboard, schedule data integration, and more custom tracking options.

New Interactive Dashboard

See all your progress tracking highlights without having to sift through long schedule tables. Charts show the total installed work, work that is behind schedule, the timeline of installation versus the scheduled plan, & show performance for each vendor. Each chart is interactive, so select a chart to visualize the metrics highlighted in the BIM viewer. Change filters to update chart data and BIM visualization. Download progress report sheet that highlights filtered objects.

Neural 3D Engine

SiteInsights Neural 3D Engine can extract powerful information from your 360 videos. We can create 3D point clouds from videos, which SiteInsights uses to detect installation. We can also identify different types of materials used for updating status, eg: wood formwork, concrete, foam insulation, & paint.

Now you can integrate schedules with SiteInsights progress tracking!

You can now import schedules from Primavera P6 & Microsoft Project to your CupixWorks SiteInsights enabled projects. We support .XER, & .XML schedule files. You can even export SiteInsights data to update your schedule or company dashboard with field confirmed installation statuses.

Create and track progress of vendors

To help monitor vendor performance across your project, you can now filter by subcontractors with a new Group type called 'Vendor.' In addition to tracking volume and percentage of all completed work for a project, you can now track volume and percentage per subcontractor as 'Vendor.' In Account Settings you can create groups, toggle the Vendor button in a group to register it for SiteInsights tracking.

Customize your progress tracking with Status Templates

CupixWorks SiteInsights offers advanced tracking technology with detailed customization. The new version of Status Templates allows you to customize how SiteInsights tracks and updates each type of installation. Do you want basic tracking for floors installation, but track very specific steps for walls? Status Templates can customize different status’s for each step in the construction process. SiteInsights can track progress using point clouds or 360 images as the input. SiteInsights can use AI image detection to identify different material types for each step. For example we can identify metal studs, drywall, and then paint using the 360 images.

For even more details, see our support article on SiteInsights 2.0.

  • Projects with Geocoordinates enabled will be able to use in-app GPS for all captures.
  • Projects with Geocoordinates disabled can utilize GPS on a recording if they select “Live Map” instead of a reference plan, switching between Satellite and Map view.
  • App now supports the Insta360 X3 camera.
